Features


INCOLOY800H is a controlled composition derivative of INCOLOY alloy 800H (UNS N08810) and is used for the same creep resistant  applications, however the combined effects of mechanical and thermal processing of the alloy permit higher design stresses to be incorporated than are permitted for the conventional alloy. Both materials remain available, subject to commercial considerations,and certainspecifications which restrict the service temperature of some grades of Incoloy 800H. Applications have extended from petrochemical
processing reformer tubing, to bellows and flare tips in refinery service. In power generation, superheater and reheater tubing has also employed the material. Heat treatment retorts, muffles jigs and fixtures have also used this material to great effect.

4, For applications up to 500 ° C, the alloy is supplied in an annealed state


Corrosion Resistance


800 can withstand many corrosive media corrosion. In an aqueous corrosive environment, its corrosion resistance is comparable to that of austenitic stainless steel. The high nickel content makes it resistant to stress corrosion cracking, and its high chromium content makes it better resistant to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion.800H can withstand many corrosive media corrosion. Its high nickel content makes it resistant to stress corrosion cracking in aqueous corrosion conditions. The high chromium content gives it better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy has good resistance to nitric acid and organic acid corrosion, but has limited corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. In addition to pitting corrosion in halides, it has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts. It also has good corrosion resistance in water, steam and a mixture of steam, air and carbon dioxide.
