Corrosion Resistance


800 can withstand many corrosive media corrosion. In an aqueous corrosive environment, its corrosion resistance is comparable to that of austenitic stainless steel. The high nickel content makes it resistant to stress corrosion cracking, and its high chromium content makes it better resistant to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion.800H can withstand many corrosive media corrosion. Its high nickel content makes it resistant to stress corrosion cracking in aqueous corrosion conditions. The alloy has good resistance to nitric acid and organic acid corrosion, but has limited corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
