Features


Hastelloy X is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with cobalt and tungsten added. Hastelloy X alloy has excellent oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1200 ° C and can also be used in neutral and reducing atmospheres. At the same time, Hastelloy X alloy is resistant to carbonization and nitriding.
1, The alloy has good cold and hot workability, and the forging heating temperature is 1170 °C.
2, The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation of the forging and the final forging temperature.
3, The alloy has satisfactory welding performance and can be welded by argon arc welding, seam welding, spot welding, etc.
4, The alloy can be added directly to a furnace that has been heated to a high operating temperature. Immediately after the time required   for heat preservation, it is processed to the specified specifications, and if the metal temperature drops below the minimum processing temperature, it needs to be heated again.

5, The surface oxide of the alloy and the slag around the weld are more adherent than stainless steel. It is recommended to use a fine sand or fine sand wheel for sanding.

Metallographic Structure


The structure of the Hastelloy X alloy in the solid solution state is an austenite matrix with a small amount of TIN and MC type carbides.


Applications


Hastelloy X is highly resistant to corrosion in a variety of atmospheres and has excellent high temperature strength. Hastelloy X is widely used in a variety of high temperature environments.
