Characteristics and scope of application


ASTM W1A-91/2 carbon tool steel, strength and wear resistance are higher than those of T8 and T9, but hot hardness low, quenching is not tall and quenching deformation, fine grain, heating and quenching in not prone to overheating, can still maintain a fine grain structure; steel after quenching in the undissolved excess carbide, so high wear resistance, used in the manufacture of with a sharp knife and a little toughness. Suitable for the manufacture of cutting conditions are poor, requires high wear resistance and not subject to sudden and severe shock and vibration and need certain toughness and various tool with a sharp edge, but also can be used as not subject to the impact of a larger wear parts.
