Characteristics and scope of application


It is a general purpose high tensile steel applicable for all structural parts requiring medium to high mechanical strength. Low carbon content reduces complication for welding. It can be further heat treated to improve hardness and strength.
Machinery structure and motion transmission parts like valves, stems, shafts, axles, connecting rods, crankshafts, pinions, gears etc.
